The Ubuntu children’s choir was established in 2003 - the name “Ubuntu” simply means humanity.
The philosophy of the choirs is to revive the spirit of togetherness, promoting human values such as Love, Respect and Trust by saying no to drugs and child abuse.
They have performed at many Corporate events in in Cape Town and surrounds. These young children are raised mostly by single parents employed as domestic workers, from the disadvantaged community of Strand - Lwandle, Zola and Nomzamo location. Their ages are between 8 & 15 years.
The rehearsal venue is in a small shack which doesn’t allow them to do their creative artistic work, but a situation like that doesn’t stop their positive mission and objectives of promoting the spirit of ubuntu via their musical talents.
Their concert programs are about the spirit of happiness and the moods of sadness. The audiences are always happy with their performance.

"The children were adorable and definitely pulled at the heart strings of most guests, I had several people tell me that they had goose bumps when the children walked in singing in harmony. Such sweet little voices!"
