Since its inception the charles hartzen project has mostly been involved in television production and live performances which is currently its main demand.  The band is versatile and offers an impressive repertoire for serious and not so serious jazz lovers. 

The quality of the individual band members is testimony to the fact that they are successful artists within their own right and therefore enriches the depth of the music when performing any piece.  They can share the stage with the best technical & musical players in the world and at the same time appeal to local audiences and communities through their involvement in community projects and youth empowerment initiatives. 

The bands repertoire includes genres such as:

The soul of the band is not only entrenched in spiritual, Godly principles but has undertaken to provide a platform for change of the trajectory of the local music industry based on excellence. 

In this regard the band will also strive to present an opportunity for change to the disenfranchised people and youth of Africa through music and all that it has to offer.
