Talented guitarist and singer, Virgil Ellis and lead vocalist, Julia Lamberti forms this exciting two-piece act.  The duo weaves an exquisite blend of jazz, rock, soul, R&B, blues and adult contemporary classics into every performance. 

Virgil has been one of Southern Africa’s top guitarists and singers for close on 30 years and he plays a variety of instruments including electric and acoustic guitar, bass guitar, banjo, mandolin, sitar and harmonica.  He has performed and recorded with some of this country’s most respected musicians and has been featured in numerous radio and television advertisements over the past 20 years.  Virgil has also performed and toured extensively throughout South Africa, the UK and the United Arab Emirates.

Julia’s versatility and vocal ability ranges from sentimental ballads to jazz funk, timeless standards and R&B.  She has performed at top venues and numerous corporate events throughout the country and is also currently recording her debut jazz album with Musketeer Records, which is due to be released in late 2007.  Virgil and Julia were recently interviewed and enjoyed a live promotional performance for the Standard Bank Joy of Jazz Festival on SABC’s Morning Live show.  The duo shared the stage with jazz greats from the Count Bassie Orchestra and top South African jazz stars at this broadcast which was aired nationally on the morning of the 24th of August, 2007.
