FIVE SEASONS CLASSICAL QUARTETS

Based in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and Port Elizabeth

Our numerous in-house quartets consist of professional freelance and orchestral musicians, all of whom have at least a B.Mus degree to their names, and are active in the music and entertainment industries of South Africa. Our musicians are able to create a sophisticated atmosphere with stylish background music, or take centre stage with a world class chamber music performance. To be able to provide our clients with the perfect sound for their occasion, our quartets are versatile enough to be able to perform styles other than just strictly Classical - as far as the instrumentation allows - and can therefore be an integral part of theme / perios evenings, etc.

Flute and String trio: Flute, violin, viola and Cello
A string quartet with a difference! The combination of flute with the strings creates a symphonic sound. While this "flute quartet" can play the traditional string quartet repertoire, it also greatly expands the repertoire possibilities of the traditional quartet, allowing more effective versions of symphonic, Jazz, tango and Latin music.
