sOLOISTS & CABARET

We only book South Africa's top one man bands. It is advisable to book early, as these artists are in high demand! The instrumental soloists under this category will also contribute greatly to a high energy event; they generelly perform with backing tracks to create a full sound (also often suitable for dancing) and vibey atmosphere. Our cabaret artists are highly experienced in both the entertainment and corporate events industry, and will ensure an unforgettable evening! The vocalists listed here can generally perform with backing tracks or live band; are groomed for the corporate entertainment market and are generally able to customise their repertoire to the theme and/or atmosphere of each individual event.

ADRI NAUDE
Based in Johannesburg
Adri is a top performer both as a soloist and as part of any professional unit. She has performed on Mango Groove’s first album and live with Claire Johnston. She has also performed live with the famous Bono of U2 at President Mandela’s 85 th birthday in 2003. Other highlights of her professional career include performing with Pavarotti, both in 1996, and his farewell concert in 2005, and also with the famous 3 tenors. MORE

CANDIS ANGELENE
Based in Johannesburg
Soprano Candis Angelene has enjoyed a diverse career on stage and screen. She has sung with the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra at concerts as well as on ‘The Joburg Pops’ and ‘The 12 Days of Christmas’ (SABC 2). A seasoned performer at corporate events she has wowed audiences from likes of Barloworld, MTN , Standard Bank and the ‘Car of the Year’event. MORE

CAROL THORNS
Based in Cape Town
One of South Africa’s top electric cellists, Carol has performed at many of the country’s flagship events for nearly a decade. These include numerous celebrity events (Elton John Charity Ball), Fashion shows (Cape Town Fashion Week, Durban Fashion Week, SA Fashion Week), big concerts (Kirstenbosch Summer Concert Series, Vodacom July, Presidents Cup, Fancourt Spring Ball) etc. Carol has been featured alongside electric violinist Elena Zlatkova on several occasions with the Johannesburg Festival Orchestra and the Johannesburg Philharmonic. DANIELLE AITCHISON
Based in Johannesburg
With her angelic and enchanting voice, Danielle has been “hot on the tongues” of the South African public since the launch of her debut album earlier this year. Being labelled as South Africa’s newest Soprano, this 21 yr old has been moving audiences with her astounding 3 and-a-half octave range and her ability to sing such a varied repertoire of music from Opera and Classical contemporary to Pop.MORE

DEBI - IN THE MOOD
Based in Johannesburg
Debi is a professional musician and plays the Clarinet, Saxophone, Flute and Keyboard. She studied at the Royal College of Music, London. Whilst in London,  Debi played at The Barbican, The Festival Hall and Saint John's Smith Square. She  is also a 'Fellow' of Trinity College, London. MORE

Based in Cape Town
Divas in Case stars South Africa's own home-grown DIVAS, the ever popular singers / impersonators, Ramaine Barreiro-Lloyd and Jessy Boyle. This back to back, fun filled feature show will  have you up on your feet and screaming for more!  These two great singers have years of experience in the entertainment industry and have held leading roles in some of the country's top theatre productions. DUNCAN EBEDES
Based in Durban
Duncan Ebedes, Durban-based singer / songwriter started writing songs at the tender age of nine. He began his professional music career in 2001, cutting his teeth under Benjy Mudie's record label Fresh Music, working with the likes of South African music sensations Blk Sonshine and renowned artist Nianell. ELENA ZLATKOVA
Based in Johannesburg
Elena Zlatkova, Classical and electric violin, is a dynamic performer with an electrifying stage presence that has local and international audiences enthralled by her skill, dexterity and talent. Since her arrival in South Africa in 2003, Elena has captivated audiences with her many appearances on stage, at corporate events and concerts. A diverse musician and performer that had critics and fans raving in the 2003, 2004 and 2005 Barnyard Theatre productions of "Natural Women", "Beethoven Rocks Again" and "Roll over Beethoven." MORE

EMO ADAMS
Based in Cape Town
Tall, dark & Afrikaans! Emo Adams is a South African actor, singer and producer best known for his collaborations with David Kramer and the late Taliep Pietersen, specifically his roles in the musicals District 6: The Musical and Kat & the Kings. Born and raised in the heart of the Cape Flats, Mitchells Plein, Adams is the younger sibling of only two sons. MORE

FRANCOIS DU PLESSIS
Based in Cape Town
Francois du Plessis, undoubtedly Cape Town's top one man band; started his musical career at the tender age of 6, when his father taught him to play the guitar. Over the years, many people helped him nurture his talent until he made the inevitable transition to professional musician in 1986 at the age of 21. Today Francois is the busiest artist in his genre in Cape Town. He is known for his amazing energy and ability to read the audience; always playing the right song at the perfect time. MORE

GARTH TAYLOR
Based in Johannesburg
GARTH TAYLOR – a distinguished songwriter whose creative and unique style have made him one of South Africa’s most renowned vocalists and performers. To call this adult contemporary artist ‘multi-talented’ would be an understatement. Taylor not only writes all his own music & lyrics & plays most of the instruments on his songs, but he has produced, engineered and mixed the majority of his past albums too ~ and ALL self-taught! GARY SLETCHER
Based in Johannesburg
Saxophonist / songwriter Gary Sletcher comes highly recommended for weddings, corporate functions, fashion shows or just about any occasion where music is needed countrywide. As a young musician he toured extensively and performed all over - from Cape Town to Zimbabwe, Zambia, Swaziland and Mozambique.  He later furthered his studies in music theory and performance and passed with distinction. Hilton Gelderblom
, singer and songwriter, is a hot favourite for weddings and corporate functions in and around Cape Town. Apart from performing for private events, he does regular performances every week at top spots in Cape Town, a.o. the Erinvale Golf Estate Restaurant and the prestige Lanzarac in Stellenbosch, and he has also entertained guests at the Leopard Lounge, 12 Apostles Hotel. JACQUES LAGESSE
Based in Johannesburg
Jacques Lagesse is an entertainer with a velvet-lined voice, accompanied by the mellow tones of the acoustic and jazz guitars. Apart from the soft percussive rhythm machine, all music is played entirely live. A minimal set-up space is required. MORE


JESSY BOYLE

Based in Cape Town
Jessy's sultry voice will bring a warm feel to your wedding or special occasion. Her versatility and vocal ability ranges from sentimental ballads to jazz and timeless standards. Jessy gained most of her musical experience when she performed full time in various Barnyard Theatre productions across the country, including "Mick and Tina", "Walking In Memphis (Tribute to Elvis)" & "Roll over Beethoven". JIMMIE EARL PERRY
Based in Cape Town
JIMMIE EARL PERRY, an internationally renowned American performer in musical theatre, film, tv and recordings, recently released his self produced debut album in South Africa, 'Power of the Dream",  distributed by Gallo South Africa. Mr. Perry has had a successful and stunning career which has included performing lead roles in productions in New York, Canada, Australia and Europe in such shows as Miss Saigon, Dreamgirls, Cats, Starlight Express and Jesus Christ Superstar. JUANITA KRUGER
Based in Johannesburg
Juanita Kruger was educated at the University of Natal, Durban. She made her professional debut in 1987 in "It's Better with A Band" directed by the late Geoffrey Sutherland. A number of revues followed, and in 1991 she shared the lead role with Kate Normington in "My Fair Lady". She continued to work in musicals, pantomimes and revues for Napac as well as in corporate theatre. MORE

JUDY BROWN
Based in Johannesburg
Judy Brown graduated in 2006 with a degree in Jazz arrangement and composition from the University of Cape Town. Judy lived in London for 2 years, during which time she took the opportunity to travel to Ireland, Scotland, Wales, France, Belgium, Holland and Italy. She has also toured New Zealand with 'That 60's Show' and visited Canada, Australia & the USA. MORE

JULIE HARTLEY
Based in Johannesburg
Julie Hartley has vast experience in theatre and cabaret performing. Roles have included Guinevere in CAMELOT, Gigi in GIGI, Sandy in GREASE, Laurey in OKLAHOMA!, Polly and Patsy in CRAZY FOR YOU, Barbara Winters in SUMMER HOLIDAY, Nancy in OLIVER! and Ellie in SHOWBOAT.  The most challenging role in this genre for Julie was playing Marilyn Monroe in MARILYN LIVE. More

KRISTEL BIRKHOLTZ
Based in Johannesburg
The highlights of her performance career include, performing in the Subaru car advert in 2007, playing the lead violin role in the Barnyard Theatre production "Beethoven Rocks Again" (2003/4), the “Harvest Moon” production which recently ran at the Willowbridge Barnyard (2006) and “Rock Me Amadeus” at the Menlyn Barnyard. She has made guest appearances on e-TV's "Backstage" (2005), with Watershed on KykNet (2000) and recently appeared as a violinist on the Egoli set (2006/7). More


LYNNE POULSEN
Based in Cape Town
Lynne Poulsen is an accomplished vocalist and has performed in venues ranging from the GREEN DOLPHIN, THE DOCK ROAD CAFÉ and BERTIES LANDING in Cape Town to THE BASSLINE in Johannesburg. She was also the support band for the likes of MIRIAM MAKEBA and SIBONGILE KHUMALO at Corporate events in 200. THE LYNNE POULSEN BAND plays an eclectic mix of jazz and acoustic rock, and has been active in Johannesburg and Cape Town since it’s inception in 1994. MORE

MELANIE SCHOLTZ
Based in Cape Town
Award winning songbird Melanie Scholtz has achieved praise in South Africa as well as internationally. Winning the Old Mutual Jazz Encounters competition in 2002 as Best Jazz Vocalist and performing the South African Anthem at the Presidents’ Cup in 2003 in front of a world audience of 1 billion people. Melanie Scholtz has performed on live Norwegian radio as well as part of a Music against Misery concert in Holland in 2002. She has worked with the cream of South Africa’s musicians; Jimmy Dludlu, Sibongile Khumalo and Judith Sephuma, amongst others. MORE

Nomfusi Gotyana (24) is a new Afro-soul sensation from Kayelitsha that is guaranteed to cause an explosion in the year to come. With an alarmingly powerful voice, electrifying stage presence and super-calibre songs, Nomfusi and her 5-piece band is ready to take on the world. MORE

PIETER TREDOUX
Based in Cape Town
Pieter Tredoux, a student of the highly acclaimed opera star of yesteryear Nellie du Toit, is a charming and popular baritone specializing in lighter genres. These include French cabaret like Piaf and Brel; Golden Oldies (music from the 1920’s – 1970’s) and popular numbers from musicals and films. For the most part of 2004 he sang the role of Monsieur Andre in the South African production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's world-famous musical "The Phantom of the Opera". MORE

THE POINTY SISTERS
Based in Cape Town
The Pointy Sisters combine the talents of four of the most versatile and experienced vocalists currently working in the music industry in South Africa. Each member has their own successful solo career and this group brings together their varying styles in a project which has proven to be extremely successful in the corporate entertainment environment. The cast comprises Kate Normington, Samantha Peo, Lorraine Shannon and Juanita Kruger and the idea was to use each other’s strengths in putting the whole project together. MORE

Rob Taylor has been performing as a one man band for the last twenty years. His career has taken him to the Far east, Europe, Ireland, Mauritius and Africa. 3 Tons of Fun have emerged over the last 5 years as one of Cape Town and South Africa's most loved all-female groups.  They are in great demand on the corporate circuit throughout South Africa and have performed at functions for top companies including amongst others Standard Bank, Ernst & Young, BOE, Sanlam, Transnet and Ericsson as well as at many prestigious events at top venues across the country and internationally. TIMOTHY MOLOI
Based in Johannesburg
Born and raised in Orlando East, Soweto, TIMOTHY MOLOI returned to South Africa in 1999, having completed a Bachelor of Arts degree at Ohio Wesleyan University in the USA. Since then Timothy has been seen in several local live stage productions, including MOTOWN GOLD at Emperor's Palace, HIS WAY: A TRIBUTE TO FRANK SINATRA at Barnyard Theatre's throughout South Africa, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS at The Johannesburg Civic Theatre and BRING ON BROADWAY at the Artscape Opera Theatre in Cape Town. TITI TSIRA
Based in Cape Town
Titi Tsira hails from Gugulethu, a black African township in the Western Cape. She started singing at a very early age, coming from an artistic home - her mother being an actress and her father a singer. As a soloist with the band Earth Tones, she entered competitions like Shell Road To Fame, duetting with artists like Mxolisi Mayekana. A couple of years later this dazzling woman joined a group called MTF, with whom she released a CD "Game of Love" in '03. MORE

TONY COX
Based in Johannesburg
Born in Zimbabwe and now residing in Johannesburg South Africa, multiple award-winning acoustic guitarist Tony Cox has become a veritable icon of the instrument in his own country.  And now the guitarist seems to be working his particular six-string magic further a-field. As of late, he has undertaken regular forays into Europe and Canada and has seen a loyal fan-base begin to develop in the UK. MORE

TONYA KOENDERMAN
Based in Johannesburg
Tonya Koenderman has been hailed by critics as "one of the hottest properties on the cabaret circuit", and "a pint sized dynamo". After 15 years in show business, there is no stopping her now, as she continues to wow audiences both locally and abroad. Tonya started her career fresh out of drama school with Kevin Feather's cabaret, The Dooh Wah Girls in 1990, which ran on and off for four years. Other cabarets under her belt are We 3 with Gordon Mulholland and Paul Andrews, as well as the Cape Town hits, Juke is King, Jive to the Juke, and Wurlitzer. MORE

ZAMI MDINGI
Based in Cape Town
23-year-old Zami Mdingi is no newcomer to the scene. Having performed with some of the leading lights of the South Africa in music industry as a singer, among them Sipho 'Hotstix' Mabuse. Zami also provided the vocals for the Spencer Mbadu Sextet at the 2006 Cape Town International Jazz Festival to critical acclaim, proving she's a vocalist of real range and depth. MORE
